Deep within my heart, you’ll find,
An emptiness abound.
A longing to be loved by one,
Could this ever be found?
It matters not at all, to me,
The color of his hair.
Be it brown, or be it gold,
Of this, I’ve little care.
And as of this, the same is true,
With the color of his eyes.
I only wish to see the truth,
For all the tears he’s cried.
And if somehow, I had the chance,
Of this, I would be sure.
I’d dedicate my heart and soul,
His eyes would cry no more.
So this I offer forth to you,
An honest, subtle start.
A simple chance, a sudden glance,
Of what lies…deep within my heart.
