It's 6 am and I'm still yawning
but a beautiful day looks to be dawning
I'm off on my travels for the last time this week
but I'll miss my Snoops, no hide and seek.:-(

I miss my home but I know I'm coming back
hardest of all is keeping thoughts on track
but then again I can enjoy all my free meals
just think, not one single potato for me to peel

My laptop is already packed and waiting downstairs
and I haven't yet showered or washed my hair
but then I'm a woman so that's no surprise
and I still have to squash my suitcase to size

As I drive along I'll try to keep smiling
thinking of words cause I'm hopeless at rhyming
so when you stumble from your bed, have a thought for me
I'll be drinking coffee, munching fresh croissants from the bakery

This is a hopeless effort but it's woken up one eye
and maybe it brought forth a smile so it was worth the try
now if the other eye will open maybe my words will flow
but if they don't I'll leave you all with the colours of my rainbow

HUGS

It brought a smile! It was witty! Even with one eye open! ha
