I know that LongJohn's here somewhere,
Putting his mind to work,
Writing something quite profound,
To make Toerag look like a jerk.

It should be easy cuz I usually am,
Crazy as hell ya see,
And whatever he writes is probably true,
Cuz the sailor's as crazy as me.

I think the sailor is working on his comments to other poets... perspiring to be inspiring! *G* Which means he's giving you, his usual inspiration, a breather... but we both know the next attack will come soon! *G*

But try as he might, he can't make dear Toe look like a jerk! LOL. I like your poem, sweets!

Don't listen to old Toerag,
As he makes it seem I'm trite.
He's nothing but a scalawag,
Making a preemptive strike!

He'll never be a classless jerk,
He's too much class for that.
He's just fishing for some perks,
So his head won't fit his hat.

ta-daaaaaa

hey there, Buzz, Belle, and Queen - how are all of you?

Queen - I love you new name - it fits you perfectly.

Delores

Your comment reminds me of something I once read about friendships:

Women treat friendships like eggshells, and the friendships are easily broken. Men treat friendships like footballs, and they last a lifetime.

Buzz (Toerag) and I may villify each other, but it is in the best of intentions and kind thoughts. He is a rascal, but I, in my wonderful, saintly, benevolent way, guide him with the conviction that he, too, may one day be regarded with the same esteem I receive every day from people who's poor, pitiable, miserable, worthless, degraded lives I look down on. Yes, humility is one of my characteristics, as well as modesty. Why do you ask? lol
