Your love is like a doctor,
it heals my broken heart.
It soothes my aches and my pains,
by loving every part.

Your love is like a singer,
it fills my heart with song.
Whenever I am feeling down,
your love rings like a gong.

Your love is like a stuntman,
it does what others don't.
You are willing to risk it all,
while other lovers won't.

In other words your love is like,
an angel to my soul.
To bring me peace and happiness,
is your only goal.

I like this one a lot. I think it's beautiful. Now all I have to do is find someone that I can write romantic poetry like this to...

My love is like a sail boat
drifting on the sea
waiting for another love
to find it's way to me

My love is like a river
to deep for one to span
and so I build up bridges
to help the only way I can

My love is like a white dove
soaring gracefully
oh tell me when, my dear love
will you fly to me?

Ooops.....sorry, sometimes I just have to go with it. Very nice poem anyway, thank you.

My love is like a football,
I kick it all around.
But when it finally lands again,
I can't predict its bounce.

My love is like a mangy dog,
The way it makes me itch.
Thank God my little Lorelei,
Will never be a ......

My love is like lil Cobra,
So forgiving of my ways?
I really am just kidding around,
I hope my poem's OK.

lil Cobra - I liked the way you made your poem flow, and the way you used similes to compare love to many other common things.
