Rain gently falling beyond my window
Slate grey sky showing little care
For the mood it imposes on the world

Angel tears streaking the panes of life
Gully washed lives stripped of joy
As depression cleanses all of love

Hopelessness covers the earth
In its death-soaked cloth of pain
Obliterating humanities spirit

Brilliant flashes of citrine erupt
Shattering the charcol stench of winter
Goddess of amber's love triumphs

Cold aches replaced by warmth
Soggy sadness of blight and desolation
Cloaked in the Golden fire of love

Bleeding sky drips no longer
As glorious love eternal encompasses
My heart, mind, soul, in saffron bliss

Non omnia possumus omnes

Oh my gosh! How beautiful! Freewriting is something I should do more often. If only my freewriting was as good as yours! Please contribute nice poems like this again.

I agree...this was beautiful. Too bad many more don't see it like that.

JP, your mastery of word usage is very impressive. Rain may be a downer but a breath of fresh air is always welcome.

love's viewed as a panacea by many
especially those who don't have any
self-love's the most important kind
yet also the most difficult to find
