I can't wake up
from this dreamy sleep
sometimes I wonder
is this a nightmare?
I poke and prod
at my subconcious
just to make sure
it's still alive.
My heart still beats
I think my breath
still goes in and out
I don't remember
asking it to.
My thoughts drift
above my head
like a rain cloud,
I'm waiting for the day
when the storm hits,
maybe then I can
open my eyes
and remember that
I am breathing.

I loved the last four lines to this poem, they summed it up incredibly
