within a whisper...

The clouds began to churn.
The wind pushed the palm trees back.
A bolt of lightening flashed-
And the tree before me snapped.

The wind was loudly whisteling
It's strange, familiar song.
Thunder shook the earth-
It's roar lasting way too long.

The rain began to fall
Like needles from the sky.
Stinging my back and shoulders,
I fought the urge to cry.

I began thinking I couldn't make it-
But as quickly as it came;
It left me standing there-
Ending it's evil game.

------------------
The world is in your hands; it is what you make of it.

keep on chuggin'

Well written! It brings back memories of southern summer storms. Thank you for posting this.
