Plateau

I can't find the path
to sadness or to happiness

Stuck on life's plateau
which direction should I go

I long for love and all its charms
but love the comfort of depression's arms

Somewhere in nothing's reach
emptiness sends out its leach

Desperate now with fustration
slice and feel pain's sensation
