Ah, Darkness, my Lover, my friend
I can feel you coming, covering me
Caressing me, taking me in

Your velvety Warmth
Your tongue of fire,
Wrapping me in comfort..
Eternal hells fire….

Of torture and pain,
I know them so well
Oh how I long to be with them,
Residing in hell

A stone heart in ashes
Your fire shall burn
Where I end up
Is of little concern

To feel the talons, of your mighty Scarred Hands
Piercing the flesh, of my body and soul
Succoring me, freeing me, forever.
Darkness has taken it's toll

This is a re-write of an earlier poem
