The first few bars of that melody
Brought teardrops to my eyes
Memories flowed from history
And I stifled my unheard cries

Words tender and soft to hear
A song from a time now past
Lyrics we shared once together
To signify how we would last

A chorus we once sang together
A three minute song never ends
For this heart still broken by a promise
Of two parted to become friends

I wonder does your radio play the same tune
Do you become as nostalgic as I?
As the song fades from the night
I lower my head and cry.

For sometimes when the Darkness falls, we must surrender, take what is ours, and give what we can, and always remember love is somewhere waiting...

Azzie

So melancholy! I loved it. Your style and mine seem so similar. I find it very easy to pick up your meter as I read.
