What's the greatest
wonder in your life,
the thing
you treasure
the most?
Could it be
your lover
or your wife,
that you raise
a glass to toast?

I knew I loved her
when we first met,
such a shy
and gentle thing.
My wife knew
and did not get upset,
over her
my latest fling.

Her mother watched
with a careful eye,
as I held her
in my arms.
Her love
I accepted with a sigh,
she bewitched me
with her charms.

She smiles at me
with sparkling eyes,
each time I
whisper her name.
I promised her
there would be
no lies,
if she vowed
to me the same.

With her
my life
was turned
upside down,
and sent spinning
in a whirl.
I want you to
know this
before you frown,
I speak
of my baby girl.

Dream, I think this is the most precious piece you have ever written. The bond between father and daughter is absolutely beautiful! You've captured the beauty of it very well.

Bit unsure about posting this and the companion story, vulnerability isn't my favorite thing.

You have such a versatile talent. You can go from writing dark and scarey, to writing about love in so many special ways. I admire your brilliant abilities.
