A golden sun which shines so bright,
a princess and enchanted knight.
A meadow green with towering hills,
waterfalls and big windmills.

The air is clear as is the sky,
firey dragons for a midnight fly.
A world of magic in a wizard's hand,
armies obey a king's command.

A large stone castle over-looking the land,
surrounded by moats and deadly quicksand.
A queen in a robe of silk and gold,
Sir Lancelot, so daring and bold.

Thoughts of cavalry and mighty sword fights,
a kingdom of joy and the struggle for right.
A century where people were loyal and free,
and all these dreams are my fantasy.

"Don't let it be forgot, that once there was a spot, for one brief shining moment that was known as Camelot".

Welcome, Magical Rainbow Bunny! I am glad you posted this poem, because it was beautiful. The imagery is well done. Let's see some more!

Beautifully done!

But Camelot isn't a fantasy. It lives in the hearts of every woman who has loved, every man who has been wronged, and every child who believes still in magic. And come to think of it, doesn't that describe us all?
