I blink in dawn's fresh golden light
Beholding such a wondrous sight
A vision that is fresh and fair
Your silken sunlit firey hair
A spreading fan across my chest
Where your dear head laid down to rest
I stroke it gently from your face
And gasp in awe at your sweet grace
I watch your mouth, the soft moist lips
Caress your cheek with fingertips
Touching your alabaster skin
I know more beauty lies within.
I blink in dawn's fresh golden light
And hope this dream returns tonight.

(seeing as someone else has "blown her cover" I thought I'd join in too)

Dearest Eric...most of my poetry was written a few years ago when I spent much of my time crying & longing for love...my younger years of heartache with the men I chose. Occasionally I still slip and allow a young man to "cause me a few sleepless nights," however I appreciate your thoughts on my morbid poetry!! LOL I'm a big fan of yours!!

Thanks for the replies everyone *8) I'm glad you all like it, because this poem is very special to me.

A little hint for Elizabeth... look at the post above yours!

Thanks again, Eric
