A night or so ago -
The winds began to blow -
And with these winds came thunder, lightning, rain.

Outside, the sky turned black -
Tears were falling,"Hold them back..."
That voice from far away called me by name.

My spirit rose to sail -
To that land of fairy-tale -
And suddenly, up rode a shining knight.

That stranger took my hand -
Whispered words of love so grand -
And took me to his castle for the night.

I was his princess fair -
Not a question did I dare -
Along the shores of love we rode till dawn.

His tides soon washed away -
All my tears of yesterday -
But alas, when I awoke, my knight was gone.

This land of fairy-tale
Is but a dream to keep -
This place known as
"Where Lover's Never Weep."

Knight though I am, with Darkness I shine.

Rescuing you fair damsel would be my pleasure.

Looks like this must have been your first poem - marvellous, and so wistful. Keep dreaming, friend.
