I've got something
worse than disease,
it's called
Writer's Withdrawal.
Can anyone help me,
someone please?
I feel like
I'm a rag doll.

I didn't know
I had it
until,
just a month
ago, today.
I had no idea
why I felt ill,
just took no joy
in each day.

Twelve years
worth
of creativity,
was thrown
right out the window.
Literary inactivity,
tainted
everything I know.

I slipped up
you see,
I told a friend
that I wrote.
She made me come
post my poetry,
she did it
to get my goat.

Now I get
my daily
writing fix,
I just write a verse
or two.
Ron, in spite of
the recent conflicts,
I'd just like
to say, "Thank you."

JP, if you have something constructive to say, good or bad, everything would love to hear it. Sarcasm, on the other hand, isn't welcome here.

I'm not impressed.

The idea is good, the content is sound, the structure...... needs work.

I will not let you skate by on half-assed work my friend, you have talent and I would like to see you use it.

Bring on the thoughtful work.

Very well done indeed! The idea and emotions in this poem are truly genuine. The structure fits the purpose of this poem perfectly. I see that it's about a writer that has gone many many moons without touching pen to paper, and finally giving it a shot. Intentional imperfections! Thank you for posting this.
