How could I have deserted
My sister whom I loved so
I didn't know her pain
I couldn't feel her woe.

How could I have known
She felt lost at sea
I didn't know she needed help
I couldn't hear her plea.

The wall she built around her
Kept her safe in side
If she had only known
In me she could confide.

I hope that she forgives me
And the blindness in my eyes
I hope she knows that I'm around
To comfort when she cries.

i have two sisters, we are thousands of miles apart and don't stay in contact as much as we should, a shame really, but i often think about them, i hope they know that...*sigh*...
