It is an honest person
Who will tell it from the heart
The one that has stood by you
That's been there from the start.
It's someone who will tell you
The truth you need to hear
Someone who loving helps you
Through each hearache and tear.
I'm glad God has sent you
Across my very path
You truly are a blessing
And a friend to share a laugh.
You may be far in miles
But your always close in heart
I pray our God sent friendship
Will stay and never part.

This is one of the best friendship poems I have read, and a great way to describe friendship itself. Wow!
