Evil Cowards

They came to me
in a midnight dream
threatening
to cross my eyes
for life.
Fooling them
I played blind
as they rummaged
through my mind.

I live my life
under God's caring hands,
so while I sleep
the evil cowards
terrorize me.

They think
that they
can frighten me,
scare me
from my skin,
make me follow them
doing evil crimes.

I'd rather
take a donkey ride
to prove
I'm not their kind.
The fear of falling
off a cliff
would delight me
so much more,
then bowing
to the devils feet,
and asking him for more.

Beats me, Dreamer. This is the first I've seen of it and I think it's terrific. The title fits well and the meaning is clear and the thought provoking. For what it's worth, ya got me!

Thanks Sir Balladeer, coming from you I feel secure. This made it to page 4 though and that surprised me. Guess the timing was bad. I was originally gonna call it Midnight Dream, but thought I'd make it interesting, at least I thought. Anyways Thank-You very much.

Thank-you Andrew Scott, and yes Centipede was interesting. I don't like them cause they are so big and creepy looking and always seem to like crawling around places where I am. Recently I had to kill one crawling up my wall, I wanted to die. One actually crawled across the computer desk late one night as I was sitting there. I was almost ready for the looney bin at that point.
