Sorry Elvira,
I never got to comment on this wonderful poem
I can only add a haikoo I once wrote

Illusions
Like the desert rose
Whatever the conditions
Continues to bloom.

I agree with red...not only do I like the poem but the shape pleases me too. A jewel within a jewel, perhaps?

Besides the poem being very nice, I loved the way you controlled the lines to make that round figure in the middle of the screen. How did you do that? Incidently, I like well-rounded poetry *g*.

Elvira, don't be jealous of the models...when they're 60 or 70 years old...a majority of them won't have ANYTHING! I'd rather be plain in looks and beautiful with personality, spirit, and loving ways, than to be beautiful, vain, and looked at often without others knowing the REAL me. (the ME on the inside!)

Yeah! What Car Girl said! When those 20-year old models are 60 and 70 they won't have anything! Including ME! I'll be way long gone by then!

Have to say I loved this! As for the net, elvira, they just get to see you for who you really are. They get to see the inside first. And that's what counts!
Great job!!!

Elvira, i loved your poem, i am glad some-
one brought it back from July's pile.
you are very talented. Every morning when
you wake up after giving thanks for another
beautiful day. You are going to think
beautiful and you are going to feel beautiful
in the end that's what counts!

A lot of women think men don't look at them, but there are men that are too shy to! They see those beauties slaying men with putdowns and killing looks and become fearful! I've read most of your poetry and think you have a perfection of inner beauty that glows in your work!

Beautiful work Elvira...This is something I could so well relate to...But I swear I couldn't have expressed it so well...

Perfection is unattainable, and impossible. Just be who you are, and ppl will like you for you. For this same reason I don't like make-up. Part of what makes a person beautiful is their flaws, but covering those flaws, you cover your beauty... If men can't see beyond physical beauty which is only skin deep, they don't deserve you or any other self-respecting woman.

Wish in one hand, then shit in the other and see which one fills up first.
