The Man in the Moon

The man in the moon looked at me
and laughed about my blindness.
He thought everyone knew
about the stars that shine in the night.
He spoke about the distinction
of each and every one.
Each one is very special
for they reach out to all mankind.
You may have one...
You may have more...
depending on your need.

I was told I have four
shining down on me.
They love us from above
and issue angels here to guide.
Now when I gaze
up to the starry sky,
my favorite stars of all will be...
The one's brightly shinning
down on me.
(Thanks, Grandma, Mom, Helen, & Archie)
My life is richer with your guiding lights.

An interesting view of the night sky. If my daughters ever ask "What are stars?" I'll have something nice to tell them.

My youngest just loves Mr. Moon.

The stars are spirits of our ancestors shining down on us, according to some Indian legends. Who are we to say they are wrong? Nicely done, dreamer.
