Lord, I don't understand why,
These times I sit depressed and cry.
I try to remember things could be worse,
That life is a gift and not a curse.
When I look around the world I see,
The beauty you've planted for you and me.
The Lord has given us 2 hands to hold,
Those who feel left out, down and cold.
We have 2 legs to carry us through,
All the troubles that befall me and you.
2 eyes to see the beauty all around,
The Good Lord has planted for us in the ground.
2 ears to hear the truth and sounds,
Of all the wonders in His creatures around.
We all need to take a moment to look,
At all the splendor in one little brook.
The drop of rain on a single red rose,
The beauty in snow when the ground is froze.
Stop! Take a look up in the sky,
Did you see the sunset, or did it pass by?
God said, I am like the evergreen tree,
It's leaves never failing, everlasting like Me.
We all need to stop and look around,
Take notice of God's love that abounds.
The love for His creation, in which He took care,
To place each and every-one of us here.
He's gently reminding us as we look around,
In everything you see My love can be found.
So Lord, I don't understand why,
These times I sit depressed and cry.
Thanks be to God, who sits on HIGH,
Who never gives up, as long as we try!

Thanks to God for the inspiration
