Everyone has their own
Beast to feed,
born of hate,
pain, or delight.
It's goal,
the fulfillment
of it's need,
while it plots
and schemes in spite.

The Beast
is not
comprised of just fear,
but what's buried
in your heart.
Your Beast feeds
upon what you hold dear,
things always known
from the start.

Ignoring the Beast
just makes it bold,
with unconcern
it grows strong.
Turn your back
and you loosen
your hold,
while it sings
it's siren song.

Feeding the Beast
is such a release,
you become
quite addicted.
You ache for the evil
that at least,
is just
as was predicted.

With inattention,
it stays enraged,
while boiling up
from within.
By then,
your Beast
is on a rampage,
making quite
a hellish din.

Feeding your Beast
will hold
the thing caged,
keeping it
from causing harm.
Otherwise
it will become enraged,
eating you
without alarm.

Each Beast is weaned
upon a different thing,
from Love
to Chaos and sin.
Embrace it
and passion
it will bring,
deny it
and it will win.

My Beast is full,
it swallowed me whole,
because of that,
I'm now free.
Look deep
into the depths
of your soul,
the Beast
you're feeding
is me.

I like your wicked little twist at the end. I wonder if the beast if ever satisfied?

wonderful! Perhaps if I let my beast swallow me whole, I will be able to put pen to paper as well as you!

Dream, society has that hidden secret power to feed our beast better than anyone could possibly know. From one passionate person to another, I hear your message and understand all to well. Great job, love!
