Lonelieness
Pain
Despair
Is it really worth it?

To have and to hold
Until death do us part
And after that
Then what?

Aching heart,
Crying soul
This is what love and marriage
Should be like?

The pain is just too much
I don't know how much I can bear
The ache inside me sometimes
Just becomes too much to carry.

You must go on
Everyone says
But why
Is what I want to know.

What is left for me
More of the same
The anger and hurt
For the loss I've endured.

Hopes to meet someone new
And start again
But start what
The elation of love.

Then the pain of suffering
And loss again
Of constant separation
And loneliness again.

I just don't know
How much of this
My poor soul
Can carry of this despair again.
