O God, is this me?
Is this the essence of my dreams?
I hoped of Forever,
Forever in your grace
On the darkened earth
I breathed by your light
Your truth set me free
Yet Lord, where is freedom now?

I hear the sea
I feel the breeze
I see the waves
The casts of your love
I long to be one
with the glittering sand
to live the ocean and
emit the cry of the gull
with my own voice
to be, to breathe
with the world you have made

Instead I walk alone
a solitary figure of fallen man

(1996)

I am very impressed. It's amazing what people can come up with, is it not? I applaud you

All humanity must walk alone, though friends be close beside,
But if you truly are aloneā€¦ you have no need to hide!
PS thanks for the kind words on my poem.

There must a story behind this, a piece of history, or her story?

I love the passion of this piece.
It's so nice to read your words.

ahem...see reply 5.

But...I still have to say - thank you - for continuing to read all of these old things of mine, friends.

Lizzy...I was telling Martie just yesterday that I missed you. I know she's seeing you soon...I hope you're well, dear...
