The Trial
You had a plan for the steps to life.
Now you find it falling through.
You try to fight, to overcome its might,
But there is nothing you can do.
For the longest time the change was forming,
Taking shape and growing.
Keeping it hidden for far too long
The hidden passion has grown too strong.
Darkness is lifting faster now
And the warming rays of dawn are bright.
The one true path had been obscured, but no longer
Is that fissure your stagnate plight.

Welcome Nemesis. I had the same problem as the speaker in this poem, not knowing what to do with my life after 2 years of college behind me already. Great poem, Nemesis - keep posting!!!
