Who are we to hold this life in Dark contempt? His grip on these
threads
of life one did relent.

Who has more courage, the one who
allows himself, for the sake of
others, to die or the one who
takes his own life, when only he knows why?

Think this through against each
doubt and you will understand what
he was thinking about.

One knew when his life should end,
he took his life and doubt he did transcend.

Some think him cruel to die in his way.
Put his friends through pain and grief
they say.

In truth, he was not, he knew his time
to die. Even the grief was good, it
let them cry.

So before you hate him for what he has
done, look at his courage and remember
the fun.

For he did not die so long as those
he touched remember him. He will live
on in our memories when even his life's memory grows dim.

A friend, a long time ago,
put a shotgun in his mouth
and blew his head off.
When Walker found him,
the bong on the table still
had smoke curling out.
He died with a smile.
