I hold on to the night,
'tis here I keep my pain

I will never let it go
Some, think of me insane

I hold tight, to all I have,
and pain is what I feel

My friends I do not burden,
I pretend its no big deal

I try to ware a happy smile,
and be my good old self

While my heart bares the the weight of
love no more, all by its lonely self

I see friends around me laughing,
happy with their lives

I smile and laugh with them,
as I tuck it all inside

Why should I show, or even tell
how bad it is I feel

How could they know,
they do not see,
the pain I keep inside

Was not like I commanded,
his love that came for me

He called until I answered, bestilled
my heart, no longer free

Was agents my own good will,
that this love came to be

No matter of the out come,
no matter who was wrong
It's still alive inside me,
forever going strong

So,

I hold on to the night
'tis ware I keep my pain

I do not search
I do not look
I do not seek to find,
to toss away my heart ache,
to leave my love behind

Emptiness is not the answer,
so many now I see,
yet inside me lingers,
the heart that is not free

I dine with candles burning,
it helps to hide my eyes

Inside me I keep yearning ,
yet I hide my foolish pride

I walk in shadowed memories,
with no shadow there of me

In darkened Old Love History,
my heart is not set free,

For every chamber in every core,
holds you and I as, " we"

I hold on to the night
'tis ware I keep my pain,
my memory of thee

Tori, This is wonderful. Thank You for sharing your pain in this place where most of us know we don't have to hide behind those smiles. Well Done.

I clap loudly as if I think you can hear...Bravo! Let's cast away our plastic smiles and generate ones of real.
