ivory parchment
criss-crossed by pen marks
of a frustrated poet
as scratch of pen upon paper
fills the air
sighs and smiles
and finally a breath of relief
as the words come under control
and the poet shapes the words
like a potter forms clay
into a verbal sculpture
to delight the eye
and melt the heart

You captured it exactly.
