I've stuffed within my knapsack all my pretty pretty things
I'll tote them on my merry way in hopes for higher ground, where words don't bruse you and love don't knock you down
Where trees limbs blow in beauty
No one can pick them for pain
It would be of duty, to never say your name
My lips are sore and swollen,
My teeth are not all there
But on top of the mountain of these things no one cares
And in return they all answer, and sit a spell with me
We talk of all our beauty
Of love finding beauty in me
As I sit and let the sunshine, bake out my memories
I come here to the mountains river, that cools my frigtened head
To wash away the blood stained bruises, that cleanses me to forgive
I know here I am welcomed their all so warm and free
And no one here will judge me or keep me in captivity
I am someone in the mountain, and forever will I be
When time there is no longer
'tis here I shall be free
Oh carry me to my mountain, and lay my soul to rest
Forever is just the time it takes, to take a single breath
