Face soft and still,
she sits afore me.
Hair draped down
cuddles her shoulder,
a smile painted tenderly
across her face.
Layers of color
brushed over linen
reveal her eyes.
To remember her,
with both love and
all her pain,
this paint will
be forever her.

Thank you so much for your kind words. This place is a haven of wonders for the poet. I must say that I love all the fine poetry I have seen here. And the interaction with others is wonderful. Thank you for letting me be a part of it.
