Authors note; This reflects a love from a distance, unrequited for 21 years... until just recently. (sometimes good things do come to those who wait) I'll love you my dear, Till the end of time. till the tide ebbs no more, At lifes lonely shore. Till the earth grows cold to its very core. I'll love you still, NEED I SAY MORE? When the world closes in, And peace can't be found. Our homes and our lives lay in ruins all around. And our bodies are tired...Weary and sore. I'll love you still, NEED I SAY MORE? When life plays its dirty tricks and misdeeds. When Fall brings her cold, And trees shed their leaves. When you find your self standing on lifes lonely shore, I'll love you still, NEED I SAY MORE? With all of this said, And my heart on the line. Do you think you might... Spare a bit of your time? To ponder the love from this lonely man, Share my hearts song, and then take my hand? I love you still, and I always will! Thank you for the positive critique. I have written a number of items like this, some from personal exp. some more achromatic. "I'll love you still" was written in 1986 at one of my low points in life. I will post more as I go. Again; Thanks! |
