Memories of My First Love…

I thought I was weak
Because I started to cry
When you would push me
Or tell me a lie
I thought I was wrong
When I’d argue with you
As you slung accusations
That just weren’t true
I thought it would change
If I tried a little more
But the hits got harder
And there were more in store
I thought I was lonely
When you went away
So I looked for you everywhere
And begged you to stay
I thought that you loved me
As your words sliced my heart
As I begged for you to not
Let it all fall apart
I thought we were perfect
But finally I see
You were never
The one for me
I thought it would hurt
If we were ended forever
But I know it would hurt more
If it happened never

Been there... very well-written! I like your style!

Live intensely and am fed by life,

Better to have loved and lost, azblond? I agree. Nicely done....again.
