Dedicated to Poetwheel… (forgive me if this is not great...but I will be working on another as soon as I am more awake!) I have found the meaning of true love at last Of knowing how to decipher the past Taking from memory things I can share That would someday make you aware I have found true joy from someone not met But the happiness felt is the greatest yet I see my capacity to give of myself I realize this love is stronger than wealth I wait for the day for my true love to arrive How I feel this love grow- how I feel so alive It makes me complete and my fears they are small For I’ve no other love such as this to recall I want to shelter you from a world sometimes cold I want you forever in my arms to hold I’m filled with jubilation to see you the first time Of standing beside you through your prime The words that escape me are trying to say If you make mistakes it will always be okay I’ll never in this life or any other love you less Your arrival for me is true happiness I have waited so long for a love so true This love it is saved all for you I know not your face, or the color of your eyes I know only this, I’ll soften your cries I’ll take pride in your laughter, your steps big or small You are the first one I will help if you fall Who could you be…I know not your name But I do know exactly from where you came Even though you are not here yet Yours is a memory I will never forget Have my words made it clear who you could be? Simple if you look…you’re my yet born baby! ------------------ Let my words fall first upon deaf ears before a closed mind... |

Truly, that is a wonderful poem and the flattery of your dedication has left my withered and feedble frame rejuvinated. This is a great site, I have been checking it out for the past few days. There is some great stuff here. Please note: I am a different leg of the Wheelbarrow-esque beast than usually posts to this marvelous page, but I felt it necessary to respond and thank you, and compliment your poem.
