(I wrote this 8 years ago for my first true love...) Becoming nocturnal... tossing, turning, daydreams, nightmares... Reality somewhere in between... Hatred burning, building up... breathing, crying, killing, dying... Confused when Hell touches Heaven once more... Walking through a shattered window-pane... Trying, failing, needing, wanting... A breath of dragon' fire opens the doors to Humanity- Evil Society- Comprehending Satan's Word... demons, devils, angels, saints... A growing metaphor as time proceeds... Searching for identity... Substantially becoming insecure... I lost you to a nightmare... Daydreams magically bring you back to me... I wake up to reality... Against the odds to take the risk... Never destined to true love again... Wishing, hoping, learning, coping... I Miss You. ------------------ ~one voice~ For Myself, I live, Live intensely and am fed by life, and my value, whatever it be, is in my own kind of expression of that. *Henry James |

So... we have more in common than I thought.... Though I doubt our first loves were the same, the first person I truly fell in love with was named Matt. Gosh, did your poem bring back memories... I lost Matt to a nightmare also, sadly one he created and lost himself in. I was touched by your words, and they made me remember things I had long since forgotten... Thank you. |
