The “Grown Up” Game

“Play the “Grown Up” game with me
You play Mommy I’ll be Daddy
Touch me where no one can see
It’s our little secret”

Those words still linger in my head
Filling me with a world of dread
How many times I just played dead
It’s our little secret

I see inside you still know
From feelings that I cannot show
I remember what happened long ago
It’s our little secret

Your worried that I will let out
So you begin to cry and pout
And then with anger you do shout
“It’s our little secret”

I begged to God “please let him die”
So I don’t have to live this lie
Then you got sick and I know why
It’s our little secret

The stroke has left you powerless
To try and ask for forgiveness
I’m glad, I feel in all fairness
It’s our little secret

Some secrets just must be shared
I see now that someone cared
In your eyes you look so scared
It’s our little secret.

Hey blondy,

Let me say if this is about you then let me apologize for this man. He is a vile perverse man. I have had so many friends and girl friends that this has happened to and it just makes me sick. You have written a very powerful poem here. The most important thing which is the hardest thing is to forgive. You are a very talented poet. Keep up the great work and I look forward to more peices by you.

jfreak,
Hello again! I'm glad to see your still reading my stuff! This poem was actually written tonite for a friend of mine. She shared the story of what happened to her with me, and though I know words alone cannot help, I needed to find some outlet for her, and myself. I took a chance with this, the subject is shocking and sickening to many of us, but for far too long there are too many people who keep quiet. I pray that someone in this situation will know there are always those of us around who if we can do nothing else, will listen. You are right when you say forgiveness is a key. Let God bring the wrath that man cannot.

i never call a poem "nice" or such,
for that would not be saying much

It almost hurt to read this poem. How awful that stuff like this has to happen! :"(
