Beth I can't get out of your bed
it's 1, it's 2, it's 6 am
another night without rest
god and I'm still pinning down my urge to **** you
I have to wonder what the guys at work are wondering
circles under my eyes, broad smile on my face
its got to show its worth the waste of my time
you still make me beg to see you
dammit, you can be so mean sometimes
but my skin feels so alive beneath your clever skinny fingers
You're so god damn crazy you make me laugh just like a kid
I never was one for moderation but I'm almost overliving this
Beth I can't get out of my mind
these circle doubts dizzying up the aftermath
if I wasn't so infatuated with you, if it didn't mean as much to lose you
I wouldn't bother, but I'm hoping more than unspoken salient needs
you have the answers dormant, simply waiting for their cue
in my head, revolving: nights of sleeping on your chest, legs tangled;
in your mouth barely breathing; your head on my shoulder, rain splashing down…
And now sleeping so soft beside me, little silly smile on your face
Try to unstitch myself from your body, bedclothes; the questions that desecrate this
secret sanctuary Kiss on your forehead eyes and hands In an hour when I miss you,
Beth, I'll be mad about you all day, once again Ever more searching for my clandestine remedy
God, any excuse to stay

usually prose does not touch me...but this one did...thank you for sharing it
