You left before I was born You left me feeling abandoned and torn You've let me down time and time again Wondering if my heart will ever mend Cry and try is all I can do Don't you see what you put me through I've beat my head against this brick wall Yet I've always loved you through it all I'm hurt,angry,lonely,and scared because you see,you've never been there I pray for you each and every night hopeing,praying,and pleading one day you'll see the light Do you ever think of me Have you ever got down on your hands and knees In my dreams I've felt the kiss on a daughter's face And felt the touch of a father's loving embrace Please let us be as father and daughter should be Please let the truth set us free Written By: Tracy Perry Date Written 5/7/99
