I’ve been given a ten minute reprieve And from my bosses’ office, asked to leave So he could converse with others on “stuff” All I can say is “fair enough!” Away to my ‘puter to jiggle some thoughts For the work I was doing was boring … a lot! While the fragmented edges of my mind did ponder The words of wisdom to write, so my mind wandered. Which wasn’t all bad; actually, not so I was doing OK until the boss said “let’s go” And he would extrapolate on some of his mind’s inner workings Believe me folks, there are other chains to be jerking. This is more fun, but I must confess I can only really pretend at being a poetess. For there is Balladeer, Poet DeVine and Nan’s Commentaries There’s One Voice, Enrique, Elizabeth and Doreen Peri. I cannot compete with them, nor the rest of you But it is too much fun not to take up the cue Of ideas that now ramble, fresh in my head Oh curses, the boss buzzed; now I’m to work instead! ------------------ Sunshine Words will always express our feelings true.
