Listening to every heart

Now I lay me down to sleep
[amidst a world in troubles deep]
I pray the Lord my soul to keep
[and never let my Angels sleep]

If I should die before I wake
[and pray for those that will, I spake]
I pray the Lord my soul to take
[as those that were taken before me]

Bless sister brother mother father
[oh Lord, can you be bothered?]
Bless those whom I cannot see
[should I take time to have you bless me?]

Now I lay me down to sleep
I pray the Lord to soul to keep
if I should die before I wake
I pray the Lord my soul to take.

Amen.
