I thought it would never rain
Now I drown in my tears, again
Lightning was always a friend
til struck in the heart. My world's end

The turbulence tosses me about
as my heart cry's out
"Throw me a lifeline"
"Please save me!" I shout

The wind blows hard
and chills to the bone
My life passes before me
"Should I have ever left home?"

Where will this lead
Where will I go
I'm stuck here forever
This much I know

So what is life?
but a sea of pain
To stand erect
to be beat down again

But in my heart
I'll always search your love
This is all I know
of this I am sure of.

bitterly sad, but nicely written.
