Of all the things that I hate most,
Of all things I abhor,
The one that makes me maddest is..
A loud, resounding snore!

A foghorn in the dead of night -
An ancient dinosaur
Proclaiming earth's extinction
Is my vision of a snore.

Feeding time at Joe's pig farm,
An injured, angry boar,
One leg caught in a steel trap
Reminds me of a snore.

So come, my love, you know that you're
The one that I adore,
But, as we lay with passion spent,
Please promise not to snore!!!!!

Balladeer....

I begged my lass the same damn thing
She just smiled pensively
Her words to me 'till this day ring
"I snore defensively"

This is too hilarious...just be the one
to fall asleep first!

What can you do? You just need sleep -
You're kept up by her snore!!
Try as you might, you can't escape -
You hear her gross uproar!

Sleep on the couch - That's just no fun..
You shut the bedroom door -
As soon as you begin to dream
You wind up on the floor

The only thing that's worked for me -
Go purchase at the store
The very biggest earplugs there;
Sleep soundly ever more!!!

Any one who'd lay by you
Would never, ever snore.
They'd spend the whole night, whispering
MORE!MORE!MORE!MORE!MORE!

My snores proclaim my satisfaction
from making love to you.
Do not take my snores away
I know not what I'd do.
If the snores are banned from me
then I shall have to say
"not tonight, Balladeer,
no snores, no sex, no way!"

deVine one, I would have to say
Let me hear that snore!
Let the sound escape your lips in one gigantic roar!
Let the sound reverberate across the canyon floor!
Let your trumpet sound and we will love forevermore!

Today in California,
they say they heard a quake,
But, dear friends, it was naught
but the snoring sound I make.

Last night was something grand
and a waterfall's roar was mild
compared to the sound from my lips
when he and I went wild!

The sound rose up in one loud blast and echoed through the stars.
Satellites encountered it on the planet Mars.
Captain Kirk said "Scotty boy,it seems to me that snore
Is going farther than a snore has ever gone before!"

Right on through the Milky Way and other galaxies
That snore keeps going farther than mankind will ever be.
At heaven's gate, St. Peter there will open wide the door
And say, "You are a glorious sound. Please enter, deVine snore!"

Has there been ever before
such a prolific topic as snore?
Poetry from each reader flows
as does the sound from my nose.

Prolific though we may be
the end to this I do not see
from snore to sex in one leap
my laughter now, I cannot keep!

Heartily have I laughed tonight
to read the words you all did write
to think it all started here
with a little ditty from Balladeer!

I've got some earplugs just for you
You'll hear that snore no more
No need to worry what shall be
Next resonant encore

For there are better things to do
Behind that bedroom door
You'll just have to fantasize
To see what's now in store

You can't sleep now - No rest for you
You silly paramour
Victoria's secret's told to me
She'll bring the wine - you pour

i was only loving you fiercly and abundantly,
or perhaps it's my way of whispering sweet nothings in your ear.
And i guess it just so happened that all the world could hear.

I knew there was a reason (other than avoiding the werk monster *G*) I was prowling in the archives. LOL This is great, Deer One... the poem and the responses provided some much needed laughs this afternoon... I could read forever with not one snore. *G*
