Sing me a song sweet nightingale bird
That sits upon thy trees at night.

For I am in love, and for love I will sing,
For happiness, and joy, is what the stars bring.

Joy of Joys, Love of loves,
Cupid hit with your arrow which moves.

His kisses so sweet, his face so bright,
Brings in all the light.

Shine me that light,
Cure me soon,
Shine me the light,
As bright as sun's noon.

Bring me my lover,
Into thy night,
My heart is full of happiness,
Oh what a sight!
