If I were President, this would be my Inaugural Address:

My fellow Americans I stand here before you today
the first poetic president, but not the last, I pray.
Our platform is simple, a creed for all time
every law will now be written in poetic rhyme.

We will no longer tolerate greed - we will share
we will no longer tolerate indifference - we will care
we will no longer tolerate cruelty, hate or bigotry
anyone who does, will answer directly to me!

Children shall be taught to read poetry first of all
rhyming, writing and arithmetic will be a teacher’s call
we will reach out our hands to help anyone in need
selfish people, hear my words and take heed…. take heed.

Love will be the battle cry to win this poetic war
peace will be the reason that the heavens we explore
Majestic eagle will still stand for freedom and liberty
but in his beak will be the rose; the rose of civility

No one shall ever want for food, it’s the law of the land
no child shall be abused, by any human hand
Once a month we’ll meet here again, to remind ourselves that we
are the greatest country in the world, proud, loving and free.

All Right! This says it all!
Should be posted in all school halls!
Heck with that...in the malls!
In parents' homes, on the walls!

Oh Poet DeVine, we cannot go without
reading your words; it's what it's all about!
Thanks for this one, a good time in this age
If you send it to the Prez, I'll pay the postage!

Consider yourself well and truly forgiven (I may even re-consider the Vice job you offered)

I think I may have missed out the word President from somewhere hang on ………….
No, it seems to read OK to me.

Craig, if you're looking for a job in 'Vice', I may need to evaluate your qualifications further. Hmmm, perhaps Fred, the Cop, could explain?
