You shed your blood at Lexington,
Shed your blood at Concord to
You shed your blood at Bunker Hill,
You shed your blood for freedom new.

You shed your blood in Chalputapec
Shed your blood in Tripoli
You shed your blood at the Alamo
You shed your blood to liberatet our seas.

You shed your blood at Bull Run
Shed your brother's to.
You shed your blood at Antietam
You shed your blood for what's so dear to you

You shed your blood in the Marne
shed your blood at Belleau Wood
you shed your blood for Europe's cause
your shed blood is the Old World's food

You shed your blood at Pearl Harbor
shed your blood at Iwo Jima
You shed your blood at Midway
You shed your blood at Okinowa

You shed your blood at Chosin Resovoir
Shed your blood to stop the attrition
You shed your blood on Korea's soil
You shed your blood to stop communism

You shed your blood in a Jungle
shed your blood in that God forsaken place
You shed your blood in Vietnam
You shed your blood to get spat in the face.

You shed your blood in Lebanon
Shed your blood in Iraq
You shed your blood in the desert
You shed your blood so we wouldn't lack.

You shed your blood so Ole Glory could fly
shed your blood for our forefathers
You shed your blood as freedom's song
You shed your blood for our future sons and daughters.

Your shed blood is our rememberance
It is now on our hands
For your shed blood should never be forgotten
It is what bought us this land.

Semper Fi! Thanks for doing what I never did. I'll show this one to my dad who did his time at "The Stumps" (29 Palms). Crazy thing is, he was still a Canadian when he was in the corps... and he had top-secret clearance to boot. Nice bit of work here. Thanks for sharing.

jfreak,

This is good stuff and it's right on point. A relative few willing to go into battle have enabled us to be free.

thank you all for your kind words. I took a little liberty and used mostly Marine Corp famous battles, but forgive I am a Little biased. Can you blame me. Patriotism is what is all about during this weekend. I just hope our future generations will take up the cross and continue to make this nation as great as it was, is, and even greater than it will be. We must teach them all about where we come from. It is a shame that all that the men who fought in Vietnam, all that they went through, had to come home to be spat in the face by cowards who wouldn't pick up a rifle to defend this glorious country. To all of you that fought in that terrible conflict, I salute you. This poem honors you the most. Thank you.
