If freedom was an animal, would it be a fish? To swim freely in the ocean, but to look up in the sky it'll never touch, and see an eagle, soaring through the skies and resting on trees, Envying the Cheetah for racing the lands, And the cheetah, does it turn green when the moles it chase, escape underground? Animals... Different freedoms, Different wants? Humans... Are we worse? We drive cars, we fly airplanes, we float submarines and operate Diggers. Are we the most free then? No... I'd rather be an eagle, flying without dependance on four engines, or a fish, breathing easily without carrying a tank... A mole who never fears the drill shaft broken, or a tireless cheetah never in need of gas or tires... Is civilization freedom? And I should laugh at myself, Not even imagination... can be much traversed by man without machine, For he needs a computer... to type it up, to publish it, or to post it on www.netpoets.com... ------------------ Life is a struggle for humans to make more foolproof stuff, and for the universe to make more complete fools. What is freedom? To do what you wish? Does the eagle wish to swim? Do Fish wish to fly? We'll never know... They seem content to me. Do humans wish to be idiots? I don't think so but it looks like it... -Absolut Insanity. |
