The Last has wandered near and far, looking for his kind, but near and far, none can he find.

As the Last walks the road to the Sea, he knows he will never again be happy.

When a Man walks by, the Last runs. His kind was killed by Man, Man and his guns.

Man is cruel. This lesson the Last has learned too late: To trust Man, is to be a fool, and now the Last has learned to hate.

Man is callous, he destroys what he does not understand. He destroys all, down to the very land.

Now that once again the Last has tried to flee, once again he tries to see.

He sees the bodies of his kind all covered in blood. He sees the bodies half-covered in mud.

And now the Last has come to die, and this he does with tortured soul and grateful sigh.

I think I have to agree with chris on this one... it deffinitely rekindles those hurtful feelings that need to be learned from. I really like this poem...
And by the way... I think you should do it...

I've been trying hard to write a poem that would evoke the emotions I feel. Perhaps this is it. Thank you, my dear.
