he partial oblivion
Where Satan reigns
Inhabits the forgetful earth
In a place before twilight.
But the uncertain dawn
Creates a new impression:
An imaginative sympathy
That wraps the new day
By keeping the vision
Deep in the dream.
With a landscape
Of quiet possession
The earth shakes off
The stillness of limitation.
And though the shepherd moon
Is still fascinating to compare
Those that love attentively
And labor for abstraction
Embodied
Will alter the sun’s destination
And influence the succeeding
Day.

I like the way you make me read numerous times in search of yet another metaphorical level that I may have missed on my previous peruse...
