As I look across the room at your face,
And journey back to that place
Where we first met, not knowing each other.
Soon we came to depend on one another,
through the laughter, sorrows, and tears.
How my heart rejoices when you are near.
All the sufferings we had to bear,
You said, "I'll always be there."
Knowing that ours is a relationship with no end,
I am glad to call you a friend!
