If I Sin

If I sin
In my love
For you
So be it
Let the smell
Of brimstone's tang
Fill me
If I do wrong
Lay the blame
If loving you
Constitutes a sin
Let me burn
If yearning for your touch
Makes my soul impure
Point the finger
Cast the stone
If this love is so wrong
If I sin
In my love
For you
So be it

If going after what we crave
Brands us as a sinner
They can lie us in a single grave.
What would you like for dinner?

(For a sinner, the way you write is heavenly)

I may not be the first to jump in, but I'll be there with a fine bottle of wine. My compliments to the chef.

Is true love a sin? If so, I'm right there, sinning with you.... always.

"Would I were free from this restraint, or else had hope to win her! Would she could make of me a saint or I of her a sinner!"...these borrowed words seem to be a fitting reply

Isabelle..
Excellent piece of work. It says a great deal in very few words. The flow has a life of it's own and everything just works together in this one. Bravo!!
