Tell me the world, when my bones lie whitening
Amid the last homes of youth and eld,
That there was once one whose veins ran lightening,
No eye beheld.
And tell how trampled, derided,
hated,
And worn by weakness, disease, and
wrong,
She fled for shelter to God, who
mated
her soul with song-
Tell how this Nameless, condemned for
years long,
To herd with demons from hell
beneath,
Saw things that made her, with
groans and tears, long
For even death.

You may be only "one voice" but that one is a very powerful voice. I have read both this poem and "Amanda" and I think they are both excellent! Good work

This poem has incredible substance. There is much more to it than the words. A work well done.

It sounds like a dirge for Lilith. Powerful work!!

My daughter IS bipolar. At this time, we do not know where she is. I have often looked for insight into her problems. Help that we may, she refused outright, for "she knew best". If YOU are bipolar, you are in my prayers.
